Ashley Teagle is the CEO of the Southern Maryland Regional Library Association (SMRLA). She is originally from Salisbury, MD and relocated to Southern Maryland to pursue a career in public libraries. As the former Executive Director of Wicomico Public Libraries, Ashley developed a great relationship with the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. It was there that Ashley got to see the power of collective community support to improve lives. The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore partnered with the library to offer books about health and provided funding for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Today Ashley serves as the Board Chair for the United Way of Southern Maryland. She believes in our mission to impact lives in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties by mobilizing the caring power of our community to advance the common good. She is an active member of the Resource Development Committee and wants to do her part to support the nonprofit organizations that lift up so many Southern Maryland residents. Please donate today
